Nova 5 series, the latest from Huawei
Huawei has presented its three new devices, the Nova 5, the Nova 5 Pro and the Nova 5i, as well as a new chip, the Kirin 810 7 nm.
Without knowing if these phones will have Google apps, or if they will leave China, we already have the specifications of each one.
In the Nova 5 we will have the new Kirin 810, while the more expensive Nova 5 Pro has the Kirin 980 processor, the same as the P30 Pro and the Mate 20. The Kirin 810 also has eight cores, but two of them have been replaced by smaller versions that save energy. The Nova 5 has 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, while the Nova 5 Pro has 8 GB of RAM with up to 256 GB of storage.
The cheapest is the Nova 5i, with perforated screen, yes, unlike their peers. It is cheaper to use a Kiri 710 processor, slower.
The first two have a 6.39-inch and notch OLED screen, as well as four cameras on the back: the 48-megapixel primary, a 16-megapixel panoramic sensor, a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 2-megapixel sensor. Both have 3,500 mAh batteries, USB-C charging ports, on-screen fingerprint scanners and headphone jacks. The 5i also has four cameras, but it reduces the resolution to 24 megapixels for its main sensor, and 8 megapixels for its panoramic camera. The screen of the 5i is LCD, not OLED.
The three phones will be launched in China at the end of the month. The Nova 5 will arrive on June 20 with an initial price of about $ 400, while the 5 Pro and the 5i will be available later, on June 28, for $ 430 and $ 320 respectively.
Once again: we do not know if they will ever get out of China, but it is always good to know the movements of this mobile giant.
